Squidoo Lens of the Year Contest
I just learned that my Squidoo Lens on the Cuban Missile Crisis has been nominated as “Lens of the Year!”
Right now it’s in the top ten. It’s on what’s called a Plexo, which means people vote for the various lenses they like. Whichever comes out on top will win on March 30th.
You have to be a member of Squidoo to vote, which I would recommend to anyone—even if they weren’t voting. It’s very easy to do and Squidoo is a great site. The plexo will direct you to the registration page if you're not already a member of Squidoo.

AlegrÃa (Spanish for "jubilation") is one of Cirque du Soleil's most popular touring shows. It is about hope and perseverence. The main theme behind AlegrÃa is the misuse of power, be it from kings, tyrants or dictators. The show is meant to inspire us to be better individuals and to work together with our fellow man. It is a glimpse of the horrors of our past and the great possibilites of our future.
